Free vision screening plays a vital role in promoting community eye care by helping people access early diagnosis through an eye screening camp. Such initiatives improve eye health awareness and provide a free eye checkup to detect vision issues at an early stage.

Free vision screening helps communities through organized eye screening camp initiatives that strengthen community eye care and improve eye health awareness by offering a free eye checkup. Regular free vision screening programs in an eye screening camp setup enhance community eye care, increase eye health awareness, and ensure access to a free eye checkup. Expanding free vision screening through local eye screening camp efforts promotes better community eye care, spreads eye health awareness, and encourages people to utilize a free eye checkup. Effective free vision screening drives positive outcomes in eye screening camp activities, supports community eye care, boosts eye health awareness, and ensures every individual receives a free eye checkup.

Good vision isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for living a safe, healthy, and productive life. At Sunayan Eye Care, we believe that eye health should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we recently organised a FREE community vision screening campaign in Bargarh, especially focused on adults, senior citizens, and school-going children.

The turnout was amazing, and the observations were eye-opening. Here’s everything we learned from engaging closely with our community and detecting hidden vision problems in time.

1️⃣ Many People Didn’t Even Realise They Had Vision Problems

More than half of the people screened had some level of vision issue—
yet most of them were completely unaware!

Common findings included:

  • Early refractive errors

  • Mild cataract symptoms

  • Dry eyes

  • Eye strain from screens

Most of these problems are treatable if detected early.

2️⃣ Children Showed Screen-Related Eye Symptoms 📚📱

We noticed many school kids showing early signs of digital strain due to:

  • Online study

  • Mobile games

  • Excessive screen time

Symptoms included:

  • Frequent blinking

  • Headache

  • Squinting

  • Eye rubbing

  • Dry eyes

With more digital learning, parents must take children’s eye check-ups seriously.

3️⃣ Senior Citizens Need Regular Eye Monitoring 👵👴

A significant number of elderly participants were at risk of:

  • Cataract

  • Glaucoma

  • Age-related vision loss

The biggest takeaway:
👉 Most age-related eye diseases don’t have symptoms in the beginning.

Regular check-ups can prevent severe damage.

4️⃣ People Delay Eye Check-Ups Until Problems Become Serious

Many participants admitted they visit doctors only:

  • when vision gets blurry

  • when headaches start

  • or when reading becomes difficult

But eye diseases progress silently—especially glaucoma.

5️⃣ Community Awareness Works!

Our aim was simple:
✨ Early detection
✨ Early correction
✨ Early treatment

Regular vision screening can prevent many irreversible eye conditions.

We are proud to see people becoming more aware and taking the first step toward better eye health.

Our Message to Bargarh Community

Protect your eyes before they need protection.
Book an eye check-up every 6–12 months—even if you feel “perfectly fine.”

Your eyes will thank you later 😊
